Responsibilities: Lead independent research projects focusing on molecular mechanisms of disease and drug target identification. Design, develop, and validate complex molecular biology assays and experimental protocols. Independently perform and troubleshoot advanced molecular biology techniques, including gene editing (CRISPR), next-generation sequencing (NGS), qPCR, Western blotting, and protein analysis. Analyze and interpret large datasets, drawing robust conclusions and identifying key findings. Prepare high-quality scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present research findings at international conferences. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including bioinformaticians, chemists, and clinical development scientists. Mentor and guide junior research scientists and technicians, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and collaboration. Contribute to the strategic direction of research programs and identify new areas of scientific inquiry. Manage laboratory resources, including equipment, supplies, and budgets for assigned projects. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and laboratory best practices. Qualifications: PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Minimum of 8 years of post-doctoral research experience in an academic or industry setting, with a strong publication record. Demonstrated expertise in a specific area of molecular biology relevant to drug discovery (e.g., oncology, immunology, neuroscience). Extensive hands-on experience with a broad range of molecular biology techniques and instrumentation. Proven ability to lead research projects, manage timelines, and deliver impactful results. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Superb written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific information. Experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic research environment.
