Principal RF Systems Engineer - 5G Networks

This senior-level position is critical for driving the innovation and deployment of advanced 5G and future generation wireless networks. You will be instrumental in shaping the radio frequency architecture, optimizing network performance, and ensuring the seamless integration of complex wireless technologies. Key Responsibilities: Define and architect RF system designs for advanced wireless networks (5G NR, LTE, and beyond). Develop and validate RF performance models and simulations. Lead the selection and integration of RF components, including antennas, amplifiers, filters, and transceivers. Analyze and troubleshoot complex RF propagation issues, interference, and signal integrity challenges. Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to ensure seamless system integration. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for RF system validation and optimization. Stay abreast of the latest trends and technological advancements in the wireless communications industry. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on critical projects. Contribute to the development of product roadmaps and strategic technology planning. Author technical documentation, white papers, and present findings to internal teams and external stakeholders. Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices for RF system design and deployment. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance network performance and capacity. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. 12+ years of experience in RF system design, with a strong focus on wireless mobile networks (3GPP standards). Proven expertise in RF system architecture, link budget analysis, and propagation modeling. In-depth knowledge of RF components, subsystems, and their performance characteristics. Proficiency with RF simulation tools (e.g., Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS, MATLAB). Experience with spectrum analysis, network analyzers, and other RF test equipment. Strong understanding of cellular network technologies, including 5G NR features (e.g., mmWave, Massive MIMO). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead complex technical projects and drive innovation.
