Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in network engineering, Wi-Fi Operations, NOC or related environments
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient data wireless networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, etc.).
- Proficient knowledge of related wireless industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants, Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols.
- Proficient knowledge of basic wireless network devices and basic wireless network appliances.
- Proficient knowledge of WiFi network architecture, protocols and network topology, data center architectures, and cloud-based architectures
- Competitive mindset — motivated to solve hard problems and deliver results
- Hands‑on, “jump in and do the work” mentality
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Carrier/ISP or large‑scale Wi‑Fi environment experience.
- Operational familiarty with Python, Linux and Ansible
- Observability tools experience: Grafana, Splunk, Netscout
- Experience establishing or maintaining source‑of‑truth systems (Confluence, CMDB, Git).
- Experience working with VMWare, Red Hat OpenShift, and other data center platforms.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Experience with Nokia, Cisco, Ericsson, and Ruckus carrier grade WiFi APs, controllers, and core network elements.
- Experience building and deploying new VM-based environments within an existing data center.
- Cisco Certified Wireless network Professional (CCNP)
- Wireless industry and vendor specific training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.)
Job Description
We are seeking a proactive problem solver to join our team as a Wireless Incident Process Engineer with a strong foundation in network engineering to support WiFi Operations. This engineer will possess 5-10 years experience in a technical engineering/operating role support of end-to-end carrier-grade WiFi networks. Hands-on experience with modern WiFi network elements including Wireless Access Gateway (WAG), Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) function, WiFi controllers, firewalls, switches, routers, and access points. A person with a positive, high energy, and competitive mindset who is ready to demonstrate high quality, high efficiency network delivery of optimized change management process.
Job Responsibilities:
•Review new network delivery plans for hardware, software, and firmware planned for implementation into the carrier-grade WiFi network.
- Write and/or review MOPs to ensure smooth network release process.
- Provide feedback to network engineering and planning teams to improve handover and implementation.
- Define intake requirements and templates for each department vertical submitting to Release Mgmt
- Define process for reject and correct scenarios related to Release Mgmt Intake
- Assist in prioritizing network release planning to ensure adequate time and resources.
