Job Title: Processing Engineer Intern

Location: Carlsbad/San Diego, CA

Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm (flexible)

Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00/hr.

Field of Study: Chemical Engineering, Engineering or Science related field

Junior or Senior in a 4-year college with an Engineering or Science degree

Your Role:

This position will work closely with Principal Engineers to develop novel and innovative chemical approaches to solve challenges faced in advanced thin film deposition. This role executes daily plan for films deposition and metrology measurement.

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting research on state-of-the art semiconductor processing equipment.

· Hands on experimentation on ALD/CVD depositions using novel precursors & co-reactants; and operation of ALD equipment as well as metrology such as FTIR, Ellipsometer and dilute HF etch.

· Design, collect and analyze data and compile technical reports for internal and external reviews. Provide technical support to internal and external customers

· Connect process conditions, physical characterization, and chemistry towards understanding of mechanisms

· Work with the team as needed to maintain application lab equipment in operation with minimum downtime, within safety guidelines

Who You Are:

Qualifications:

· Junior or Senior in a 4-year college with an Engineering or Science degree

· Safety First mindset

· Eager to learn in a fast-paced industrial R&D environment

· Mechanically inclined

· Good attention to details

· Good organizational skills

· Working knowledge of Office products Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

· Hands-on experience working in a research laboratory
