The Opportunity

We are seeking a Process Engineering Manager to play a highly visible and impactful role within the organization. This individual will sit at the intersection of engineering, quality, and operations, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) while driving process integrity, compliance, and execution.

This is an especially exciting opportunity as this role will help build and shape a newly formed NPI team and department. The person in this position will have the chance to influence structure, processes, and best practices from the ground up.

This is not a purely technical or back-office role—this person will be deeply involved in day-to-day operations, working cross-functionally with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth product launches, accurate documentation, and high-quality output.

The role reports directly to the VP of NPI and offers significant ownership, visibility, and the ability to make a lasting impact across the business.

Team & Leadership Scope

This role will have direct leadership responsibility for a team of 6 Document Specialists and an R&D Specialist, requiring strong delegation, mentorship, and the ability to drive accountability across documentation and engineering support functions.

  • Coordinate and support UL audits (UL 508A) with Field Engineers
  • Lead containment and corrective actions for any non-conformances
  • Maintain communication between UL, customers, and internal teams
  • Manage calibration tracking and compliance for tools and equipment
  • Partner closely with quality teams to ensure adherence to internal and external standards

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams
  • Support customer requests for quality documentation (FAIRs, CoCs, testing certifications)
  • Partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes

Documentation & Training

  • Develop and maintain work instructions and process documentation
  • Lead training efforts on testing procedures and process standards
  • Oversee document control processes and delegate effectively to document specialists

  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or quality environments
  • Strong understanding of BOM structures and ERP systems

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution

Preferred

  • Experience with UL standards (UL 508A), audits, or related compliance environments (formal licensing not required)
