Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $146,000.00/yr

Responsibilities Independently design and execute experiments to optimize upstream manufacturing processes for viral vector production.

Perform statistical analysis of experimental data to identify trends and support process improvements.

Develop and apply empirical or theoretical models to predict process performance and enhance process understanding.

Evaluate, test, and implement innovative upstream technologies.

Collaborate cross-functionally with downstream process development, analytical development, and research teams to ensure high product quality and seamless process integration.

Provide technical support for the successful transfer of processes to contract manufacturing organizations.

Conduct routine cell culture operations, including bioreactor setup, probe calibration, maintenance, and cell culture passaging.

Manage experimental data, maintain accurate records using electronic notebooks, and generate comprehensive reports.

Perform sample analysis using various laboratory analytical tools.

Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge and supporting team goals.

Qualifications PhD in Science, Engineering, or a related field with 2-5 years of experience; or MS with 5-8 years of experience.

Experienced with mammalian cell culture, bioreactors, AAV production, and upstream process development.

Knowledge of empirical or theoretical modeling, including machine learning or statistical methods.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities.

Flexibility to work occasional weekends (for active cell culture).

Familiarity with transient transfections, AAV, automation, and technology transfer is preferred.
