About the Role

We are seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to lead the optimization of our repair operations. You will be the architect of scalable systems that maximize product recovery while championing our commitment to environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Repair Process Development: Design, implement, and optimize scalable repair systems for tools, electronics, and appliances to ensure items are effectively returned to the market.
  • Workflow Optimization: Create comprehensive workflows that streamline tasks from initial intake through final quality control.
  • Financial Feasibility: Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses and ROI assessments for repair operations to ensure profitability meets sustainability standards.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop user-friendly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials designed to guide team members with minimal prior technical experience.
  • Technical Leadership: Utilize material science, failure analysis, and advanced tools (CAD software, automation, and robotics) to enhance precision and reduce turnaround times.
  • Sustainability Advocacy: Drive "repair-first" practices and integrate lifecycle assessments into every aspect of the operation to reduce environmental impact.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams to identify operational bottlenecks and implement innovative technical solutions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven track record in repair, refurbishment, or manufacturing process optimization.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and experience with prototyping/testing.
  • Strong understanding of repair techniques for consumer electronics, tools, and appliances.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Extensive experience in process analysis with a focus on efficiency and cost containment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to translate complex technical processes into actionable steps for diverse teams.
