Our client is seeking a highly motivated Process Improvement Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in **Miami, Florida, US**. This role is critical in identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance. You will apply principles of industrial engineering, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma to analyze existing processes, develop innovative improvements, and lead implementation efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a proactive approach, and a proven ability to drive tangible results in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for improvement. Design, develop, and implement process improvements using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency. Conduct time and motion studies, workflow analysis, and value stream mapping. Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and management to implement and sustain process changes. Collect and analyze data to measure the impact of implemented improvements and ensure ROI. Develop and present project proposals and results to stakeholders. Train employees on new processes and continuous improvement techniques. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all process changes. Troubleshoot operational issues and provide timely solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in process improvement, continuous improvement, or operations engineering within a manufacturing setting. Proven experience with Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly desirable). Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, or similar statistical software. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain dynamics. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence change. Familiarity with CAD software is a plus. A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
