Our Global Innovation team is seeking an innovative Process Engineer who is obsessed with operational effectiveness, efficiency, and excellence. The ideal candidate will be a master in mapping process workflows, seeking root causes, have a track record of identifying opportunities and materializing improvements. Job Responsibilities
- Become an expert in Las Vegas Sands properties’ operations (especially Marina Bay Sands).
- Across a wide range of strategic projects (e.g. robotics, machine learning, software development, non-digital solutions), apply appropriate techniques (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) to identify process-improvement opportunities, map operational workflows and innovate to improve operational efficiency
- Conduct Value-Stream exercises, 5 Why’s etc. as needed
- Utilize data and statistical analysis techniques to establish priorities and to measure the efficacy of process innovation program
- Implement mechanisms (incorporating design thinking, UX etc.) to sustain operational excellence
- Develop and maintain metrics and reporting on operational performance
- Own the end-to-end journey from ideation to execution; be resourceful in overcoming challenges in introducing new technologies and solutions
- Help ensure compatibility of technological solutions with Marina Bay Sands; work with a team of Cybersecurity, Legal, and IT professionals to launch well-considered enterprise-ready solutions
- Influence others to adopt a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Up to 25% travel may be required
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, or relevant Engineering discipline
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering; implemented ideas successfully
Other Prerequisites
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality methodologies, e.g. Six Sigma Green Belt (minimum
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to work cross-organization
- Experience in utilizing databases, data visualization and statistical-analysis applications (e.g. PowerBI, Visio)
- Have led Kaizen initiatives and mapped operational workflows that led to impact on business metrics
- Ability to work with and influence teammates, peers and handle discussions with senior management
- Motivated, independent self-starter who can be adaptable in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
- Strong verbal/written communication; can effectively communicate with business, technical and operational teams
- Able to chart out mitigating steps and actions after applying methodologies, and not just recite textbook frameworks or theories
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise for impactful things to be done quickly and effectively
- Have innovated to improve operational efficacy and measured the impact to the business using KPIs or statistical analysis
- Have a passion for process improvement; have a love for solving hard problems
- Superb technical and analytical capabilities
- Ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to speak English and Mandarin required for stakeholder communication
