Our client is looking for a talented Process Optimization Engineer to join their team in **Miami, Florida, US**. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles, and hands-on experience with process improvement methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma. Responsibilities:
Analyze current operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies for process optimization using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management (TQM). Collect and analyze process data to establish baseline metrics and track performance improvements. Design and document new workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices. Collaborate with different departments to understand their operational challenges and propose effective solutions. Utilize statistical tools and software for data analysis, root cause identification, and process modeling. Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to implement process changes and ensure successful adoption. Develop and deliver training on new processes and continuous improvement techniques to employees. Monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes and make necessary adjustments to ensure sustained improvements. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project status to management. Ensure all process improvements comply with safety regulations and quality standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, operations improvement, or a similar role. Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) and/or Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a strong plus). Proficiency in data analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and relevant software (e.g., Excel, Minitab, Visio). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams. Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is beneficial. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
