Join our innovative ConstructionTech startup backed by YC as a Product Analyst. We are seeking a sharp, semi-technical generalist who is eager to delve into API documentation and engage with intricate details. This role is crucial in taking ownership of product research, quality assurance, and documentation tasks currently managed by Technical PMs and Solutions Engineers, enabling the team to deliver high-quality products more efficiently. This position is focused on execution and offers a growth trajectory towards becoming a Product Manager.
What will you be doing?
- Develop in-depth expertise in every system we integrate with, including ERPs, field tools, and accounting platforms by analyzing their APIs and documentation.
- Create detailed, engineer-ready specifications for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Design and implement comprehensive test plans prior to feature launches to identify edge cases and ensure top-notch product quality.
- Aggregate feedback from customer call recordings, support tickets, and onboarding experiences to translate user pain points into actionable specifications.
- Build and maintain internal documentation for integration behaviors, known edge cases, and testing frameworks.
Who you are?
- 0 - 2 years of experience in a semi-technical role such as product operations, engineering, operations, quant research, or similar at a startup. We encourage recent graduates, especially those with internship experience at startups.
- Experience collaborating on software products with software engineers.
- Undergraduate degree from a Top 30 university.
- Studied in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering).
- Hands-on experience or enthusiasm for working with APIs, databases, and SQL.
- Ability to produce precise, engineer-ready technical specifications.
- Meticulous attention to detail and structured problem-solving skills.
- Must work in-person in SF 5 days/week.
- Demonstrated passion for building projects (e.g., side projects).
