We are looking for a driven and curious Product Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside product managers, engineers, and your teammates to build scalable data models, improve data quality, and drive insights that support smarter product and business decisions. You will partner with Product to shape strategy, improve the user experience, and support data-informed decision-making.

You will be the subject matter expert in your domain, owning success measurement, data development, and visual storytelling.

Your Mission

  • Cultivate Data Best Practices:

Build and maintain dbt models to create clean, documented, and tested datasets for downstream use.

  • An Eye for Quality:

Get to the bottom of data discrepancies and chase down oddities, support the rollout and maintenance of Spot On’s analytics layer, ensuring trust in our metrics and KPIs.

  • Drive Constant Improvements:

Collaborate with data engineers to understand source systems and identify opportunities to improve pipeline performance or schema design.

  • Team Up:

Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to drive the business forward.

  • Data Detective:

Investigate unexpected metric movements, identify future opportunities, and serve up data-backed recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong SQL skills (ability to write complex queries to extract insights), bonus points for experience with Python or Jinja.
  • Experience working with big data
  • Experience with BI tools such as dbt, Heap, Metabase, and Power BI
  • Operating with a bias toward sharing, transparency and collaboration is your default
  • Diving in, solving problems, and getting things done is second nature – no waiting for perfect conditions
  • Thriving in fast-paced environments, embracing ambiguity, and taking initiative without a rulebook

Experience Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in analytics engineering, product analytics, or a related field

Education Requirements

  • Minimum:

Bachelors in a quantitative field of study

Compensation

  • Base pay range starts at $70,000 – $100,000 for this role
  • Salary range is one component of a competitive compensation package which includes a company stock plan
  • Offers will be reflective of location and experience
