Our client is a respected leader in the automotive sector, recognized for delivering high-quality products. This position is a full-time, direct hire onsite opportunity with 50% travel to other locations. We are seeking an experienced Product and Process Engineer to design and implement new products and processes for production, supporting the company's product line development for growth and profitability. This role will be responsible for overseeing validation activities across all stages of development, ensuring a seamless production launch, contributing to cost reduction initiatives, and maintaining technical communication with customers as required.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or its equivalent from an accredited institution, with five to ten years of relevant experience and/or training; alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

· Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

· Proficient in responding to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.

· Skilled in applying advanced mathematical concepts and the principles of logical or scientific reasoning to diverse intellectual and practical challenges.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet usage, AutoCAD, and design software.

· The team member must possess knowledge and understanding in the following areas:

· Chemistry, mathematics, and physics

· Chemical and physical analysis equipment

· Production and manufacturing equipment and processes

· Laboratory practices

Summary of Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with leaders, R&D, and Corporate Engineering to develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and recommend processes for all RFQs (Request for Quote)

· Lead trials to establish, update, and configure BOM and process requirements, engaging with Tooling, Project, Program Support, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and plants throughout development phases from requesting a quote to standard operating procedures.

· Ensure seamless production launches for assigned programs, achieving sustained functional performance and successful product validation at the customer with optimal cost efficiency.

· Develop and maintain product and process information within the product lifecycle management system, including BOM, process parameters, tooling, and equipment requirements for Corporate Operations Engineering and Program Management gates.

· Provide operational support by defining process concepts (layout, PFMEA), equipment, and capital expenditures during all development phases from RFQ to SOP.

· Oversee integrated database management system implementation and updates.

· Work closely with Research and Technology, Purchasing, and Quality Engineering departments to develop and negotiate material specifications with suppliers for all incoming goods.

· Assist plants as required with process troubleshooting, optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.

· Proactively investigate and analyze emerging technologies and products on the market, with a focus on competitor developments.

· Promote product and process knowledge throughout the company by providing regular training sessions.

Compensation: Competitive base salary plus 10% bonus and great benefit package
