Job Description
Position summary
We are seeking a hands-on Product Manager to drive delivery and evolution of our Mobile (Android/iOS) and Web Trading channels for retail and professional investors. This role covers end-to-end delivery — from defining requirements and shaping technical solutions to managing implementation and post-release improvements. You will work closely with business stakeholders, UX/UI and engineering teams to deliver secure, compliant and high-performance wealth management applications that meet user needs and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end delivery: Own delivery of mobile and web channels, ensuring the product roadmap and release plan align with Wealth Management business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Product & business analysis: Partner with business stakeholders to elicit and clarify requirements, conduct user demand analysis and market/competitive research, and translate findings into prioritized product requirements, acceptance criteria and user flows or prototypes for core features (market data, trading, investments, account services, news/research).
- Project delivery & coordination: Drive projects from planning through rollout—manage scope, schedule, resources, quality and change control—while coordinating engineering, UX/UI, QA, Developments, compliance and business teams to align on priorities, dependencies and release readiness.
- Technical guidance: Produce and maintain system flow diagrams, API/interface maps, data flow overviews and integration considerations to guide design, development and QA.
- Backlog & validation: Maintain and prioritise the product backlog (e.g., Jira), define acceptance tests, validate delivered features against requirements, and lead post-release monitoring and iterative improvements.
- Engineering collaboration: Work closely with developers and solution architects to design, review and optimise technical solutions, identify dependencies, trade-offs and risks, support UAT/QA and ensure appropriate testing and documentation practices.
- Stakeholder communication: Report progress, milestone updates to stakeholders, and support go/no-go release decisions.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years in product and project management for digital or mobile products with hands‑on involvement across the software development lifecycle. Candidates with 5–10 years’ experience in securities, trading or wealth management may be considered for senior roles.
- Technical proficiency: Able to produce product workflows, system and API flow diagrams and other technical artefacts. Practical understanding of REST APIs, authentication flows, data reconciliation and common mobile/web architectures. Hands-on iOS/Android experience or development background is a plus.
- Delivery & Agile skills: Strong project management capability—backlog and sprint management, dependency tracking, risk mitigation and release coordination. Comfortable with Agile tooling (e.g., Jira) and familiar with CI/CD, QA automation or performance testing practices.
- Collaboration & communication: Proven experience working directly with developers, solution architects and designers to convert business requirements into practical solutions. Excellent stakeholder management; able to explain technical constraints to business audiences and business priorities to technical teams.
- Data & product judgement: Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to measure product health, prioritise work and drive iterative improvements. Strong logical thinking and structured problem solving.
- Domain & compliance awareness: Familiarity with financial services operations, trading workflows or wealth management products preferred. Awareness of regulatory considerations (e.g., SFC/HKMA) or the ability to learn quickly.
- Qualifications & languages: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance or related field preferred. PMP/Product Owner certification desirable. Fluent in English and Mandarin.
