Job Description

ABOUT NEXTSTEP

NextStep connects top consulting talent with high-potential opportunities through smart, AI-powered matching. We partner with ambitious companies across sectors to place experienced professionals in roles where they can have a real impact. On behalf of a client in our partner network, we are currently looking for a Product Operations Manager to join their team.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a Series C fintech business based in London, providing embedded financial services infrastructure to mid-market and enterprise clients across Europe. Having closed a £65m funding round last year, they are scaling their product and operations functions rapidly to meet growing demand. The business has a strong engineering culture and a leadership team with backgrounds from Revolut, Monzo, and McKinsey.

THE ROLE

As Product Operations Manager, you will sit at the intersection of Product and Operations — ensuring that what gets built gets delivered effectively, and that operational realities inform product decisions. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and client-facing teams to design and run the systems that keep the business moving at pace.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the operational processes that support product delivery, including release cadences, cross-functional communication, and issue resolution workflows.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the product development lifecycle and design scalable solutions to improve velocity and quality.
  • Act as a bridge between Product, Engineering, and Operations teams — translating priorities into clear workplans and tracking execution.
  • Build reporting and analytics frameworks to give leadership real-time visibility into product and operational performance.
  • Lead special projects that sit at the intersection of product strategy and operational delivery.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 4–6 years of experience in operations, consulting, or a product-adjacent role, ideally within a technology or fintech business.
  • Strong process design and analytical skills (comfortable with data, tools, and building things from scratch).
  • Excellent cross-functional collaborator; able to build trust with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Structured thinker with the ability to prioritise ruthlessly in a fast-moving environment.
  • Familiarity with product development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) is a plus but not required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base salary of £70,000 – £90,000, depending on experience.
  • Annual performance bonus.
  • EMI equity options in a high-growth fintech.
  • Private health insurance, enhanced pension, and hybrid working from the London office.
