What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner to support Wealth Management Canada’s (WMC) client reporting applications and future-state experience. In this role, you will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, Investment Advisor / Counselor teams and clients – executing on the product vision and roadmap, setting backlog prioritization, and providing support, while ensuring that our client reporting solutions deliver exceptional value and meet evolving market demands.

What will you do?

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operations of WMC’s client reporting applications and help investigate inquiries from the field
  • Assist in the prioritization of features that empower advisors to deliver superior client reporting experiences and streamline their operational processes
  • Manage backlog refinement, ensuring features are data-informed and prioritized by business value
  • Actively participate in project meetings, sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies to set goals, clarify priorities and drive progress
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to identify business areas and operational processes impacted by project activities
  • Coordinate and participate in the execution of user acceptance testing and user feedback sessions
  • Understand the day-to-day workflows of investment advisors / counselors and support staff to identify opportunities for client reporting efficiency gains
  • Collect and prioritize advisor feedback on client reporting usability, customization options, and feature gaps
  • Work with business stakeholders to develop training materials, documentation, and support resources for advisor adoption of new client reporting capabilities
  • Turn data insights into actionable product features and assist in monitoring their impact using key metrics
  • Seek out industry trends, competitive intelligence, regulatory impacts and organization/process knowledge to inform best practices and the desired Advisor Team experience
  • Help coordinate readiness and go-to-market activities, including field communications and training material

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in the wealth management industry and/or client reporting
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking discipline with ability to think outside the box and consider innovative new approaches
  • Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change and shifting priorities

Nice-to-have:

  • CSC and CPH considered an asset
  • Product management experience
  • Familiarity with reporting tools and data visualization platforms
  • Proven collaboration and change management skills
  • French language skills considered an asset

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$67,000.00 - $110,000.00
