Trissential is hiring a Product Owner / Product Analyst to join our application team supporting internally developed, operationally critical platforms supporting nuclear renewables and energy trading.
This is a hands‑on, highly collaborative role where you’ll work directly with operators, stakeholders, designers, and engineers to translate real‑world operational needs into delivery‑ready product increments. Your Role & Responsibilities
- Own and refine the product backlog, ensuring alignment with roadmap priorities and operational needs
- Partner directly with operators and other users to understand workflows, constraints, edge cases, and decision points
- Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements
- Translate operational needs into clear, delivery‑ready user stories with testable acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with development teams to maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog of work‑ready stories
- Support discovery activities, including workflow walkthroughs, assumption validation, and user feedback intake
- Triage defects and operational feedback from live environments
- Collaborate closely with UX design partners on applied research and feature design support
- Create stakeholder‑ready communication artifacts such as summaries, job aids, and decision inputs
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
- 4–8 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, or hybrid PO/BA
- Experience supporting complex, custom‑developed enterprise systems
- Strong business analysis and requirements definition skills
- Ability to write clear, detailed, and testable technical acceptance criteria
- Solid understanding of custom software development lifecycles
- Experience working in operationally critical or mission‑critical environments
- Strong stakeholder facilitation skills across competing priorities
- Familiarity with Agile / DevOps delivery environments
- Hands‑on experience using Jira or similar tooling
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in energy supply, utilities, nuclear, or renewable domains
- Exposure to applied user research or discovery techniques
- Experience supporting control rooms, command centers, or real‑time operational systems
- Comfort working in regulated environments
Education & Certifications You Need
- No formal degree required – relevant experience is prioritized
- Agile, Product, or Business Analysis certifications are a plus but not required
