Position Overview:
The Product Planner plays a critical role in driving profitable growth by partnering with Merchandising, Design, Sourcing, and DTC/Wholesale teams to develop and execute seasonal product strategies. This role owns assortment planning, line architecture, financial targets, and lifecycle management to ensure the right product is delivered at the right time, quantity, and margin across channels.
About The Role:
Seasonal & Assortment Planning
- Develop seasonal product plans for a select division/category aligned with brand strategy, customer insights, and channel needs (DTC, Wholesale, Ecommerce).
- Define category-level assortment architecture including style counts, depth, price tiers, and margin targets.
- Partner with Merchandising & Design to influence line plans, option counts, and SKU rationalization.
- Own seasonal buy frameworks and revise plans based on market trends and performance indicators.
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Support seasonal product financial plans including sales, margin, inventory, and turn targets.
- Forecast demand by style, category, and channel using historical data and trend analysis.
- Monitor performance vs. plan and provide actionable insights to drive reads & reacts.
- Support open-to-buy (OTB) management and inventory optimization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Merchandising, Design and Sourcing to balance creative vision with commercial viability.
- Collaborate with Global Retail Planning & Allocation, Supply Chain, and Production to ensure accurate buy quantities and delivery timing.
- Work with DTC, Wholesale, and Regional teams to tailor assortments and planning strategies by channel.
- Present product and financial plans to leadership during line reviews and milestone meetings.
Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze sell-through, margin, markdown, and inventory health at style, category, and channel level.
- Identify risks and opportunities and lead corrective action plans.
- Develop post-season analyses to inform future product and planning decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and tools.
Process & Tools
- Own product planning calendar and key planning milestones.
- Leverage planning tools and systems to manage forecasts and reporting.
- Improve planning processes, tools, and workflows to support scale and speed to market.

About You:
- 5-8+ years of experience in Product Planning, Merchandise Planning, or Assortment Planning (within fashion or apparel a plus).
- Strong understanding of product lifecycles, seasonal calendars, and line planning.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with planning systems preferred.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience planning across both DTC and Wholesale channels.
- Prior exposure to fast-growing or omnichannel fashion brands.
- Experience influencing product strategy, not just executing forecasts.Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.

Salary Range:
$62,000.00 - $87,000.00 / year
