Job Description

About Friends for Humanity

We're a venture-backed consumer company with a simple thesis: the people who understand young people best will win the most important product category of the next decade.

Our product is already in the hands of thousands of users. Retention is best-in-class. Our creator network drives millions of impressions monthly. And we're just getting started.

We're a small, sharp team based in NYC, no middle management, no committees, no waiting for permission. If you're good, you'll have an impact in your first week.

The Role

We're looking for 2-3 product quality analysts to be the last line of defense before features reach our users. You'll work directly with the CEO and engineering team to catch what everyone else missed. No coding or engineering background required (though incredibly preferred), just an uncommon attention to detail and the discipline to be thorough every single time.

What you'll do:

  • Test new features as they ship and flag bugs before they hit production
  • Simulate real user conversation flows to stress-test the AI
  • Review session replays on PostHog and internal logs to catch production issues
  • Log and track all bugs clearly in Linear; communicate findings in Discord
  • Maintain a <2 hour turnaround SLA when a feature is marked ready for QA
  • Contribute to building out QA checklists and testing frameworks over time

Must haves:

  • Detail-obsessed, you notice what others scroll past
  • Available during Asian working hours and usually works throughout the night with consistent responsiveness
  • Comfortable working across PostHog, Linear, Claude, and Discord
  • Clear, concise written communication, you can describe a bug so a dev can reproduce it immediately
  • Able to communicate in English
  • Culturally aware / Doom Scroller

Nice to have:

  • Hungry to learn how a real startup operates
  • Prior QA, beta testing, or product ops experience
  • Familiarity with iMessage-based or conversational AI products
  • Experience writing test cases or bug reports
  • Knowledge in Software Engineering or Coding (or vibe-coding)

Compensation & Logistics:

  • Full-time contractor role — flexible hours, no set schedule beyond availability windows
  • Compensation: ₫5,262,400 – ₫13,156,000 /month per person depending on skill level
  • Reporting directly to the CEO/Engineering team
