Role Description

Astor Scientific is seeking a Product Scientist – Cell Culture (PhD) for a contract-based, remote role.

The Product

Scientist will be responsible for designing and executing cell culture experiments, optimizing protocols, and evaluating product performance. Daily responsibilities include conducting data analysis, documenting experimental results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the development of cell culture products. The role also entails providing expert scientific guidance to stakeholders and contributing to scientific documentation and publications.

Qualifications

• Expertise in cell culture techniques, media preparation, and troubleshooting

• Experience in experimental design, optimization, and data analysis

• Strong communication skills for writing scientific documentation and collaborating with teams

• PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field

• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and technology relevant to cell culture

• Knowledge of current trends in cell culture research and applications

• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment

• Experience in product development, particularly within the biotech or diagnostics sector, is a plus
