Job Description:
The Service Management Consultant for Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) is responsible for providing consulting services to Client Service Integration clients, demonstrating how the use of Client's approach to Program and Project Management will drive high performance and high quality at a tolerable price point. This role incorporates the development and deployment of solutions in PPM that positively impact the ability of our customers to meet their business objectives.
Specific duties include:
Present PPM best practices to clients and outline how those best practices assist the client in meeting their business goals
Provide guidance and advice to clients who require assistance in the set-up of Programs or ongoing management of their programs
Perform Program and Project Management (PPM) assessments to determine the maturity of customers in this space and determine recommendations on how to improve the impact PPM provides
Present results of PPM assessments to clients including how PPM findings and recommendations can assist them to meet their business objectives or resolve existing business problems
Present strategies for implementing Programs including project Governance. Where appropriate implement those strategies for our customers
Determine Organizational design for PPM organizations including the utilization of resources across geographies
Outline and deploy PPM processes
Outline and deploy Resource Demand processes
Outline and deploy PPM implementation processes
Understand Project Management tools utilized in the market and determine how those tools can support or improve client's process
Implement or assist in the implementation of Analytics and KPIs that assist in the successful implementation of Programs.
What you bring:
10 years' experience in project management, both Waterfall and Agile
5 years' experience in leading Programs
5 years' experience in configuration or in-depth use of Project Management tools
5 years' experience providing consulting services in Program and Project Management
Specialized/Practical Knowledge:
ITIL Certification
PMP Certification
Experience with ServiceNow, Clarity, Microsoft technologies for enterprise level of PPM
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation development and customer presentation skills
Strong skills in presentation and analysis
Successful teamwork experience & demonstrated leadership abilities
High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
ITIL certification preferred
