Project Engineer (Mechanical Systems & Industrial Equipment)

Overview

A leading engineering and manufacturing organization is seeking a Project Engineer to own mechanical system design and execution from concept through commissioning. This is a hands-on role working on complex, custom industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept to commissioning
• Design and define mechanical systems based on requirements
• Size and select components (valves, pumps, blowers, heat exchangers)
• Collaborate with fabrication and production teams
• Develop drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and project risks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years project engineering experience (manufacturing/OEM)
• Strong mechanical systems design (fluids, pressure, thermal)
• Experience with component sizing and selection
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Excel

Preferred

• Experience with gas systems / industrial equipment
• Knowledge of pressure vessel codes (ASME)
• Exposure to fabrication and commissioning
