Overview
Job Title: Project Engineer – SCADA / DMS / EMS (Power & Utility)
Location: Melbourne, FL 32904 or Bellevue, WA 98004
Work Mode: Onsite preferred; remote possible with travel requirement
Duration: 12+ Months
Note: Candidates must be flexible to travel to customer or project sites as required.

Responsibilities
- Project Implementation & Delivery: Execute SCADA/DMS/EMS implementations across utility environments; ensure delivery aligns with project scope, timelines, and quality standards
- System Design & Configuration: Design system architecture, database setup, and network modeling; configure and test applications such as Power Flow, State Estimation, Contingency Analysis, and Load Forecasting
- Integration, Testing & Commissioning: Lead system integration activities; conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities; ensure system readiness and performance
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with engineering, software, and commissioning teams; work with customer technical teams for smooth execution; participate in technical discussions and reviews
- Support & Maintenance: Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting; maintain system performance, reliability, and stability; ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Core Skills
- 5–8 years of experience in SCADA/DMS/EMS systems
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21), GE eTerra, Siemens Spectrum Power, OSI Monarch (or similar)
- Technical Skills
- Strong programming experience in C/C++ and Java
- Database experience: Oracle, SQL Server
- Experience with scripting for automation/configuration
- Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of power systems: Generation, Transmission, Distribution
- Knowledge of network applications: Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, Load Forecasting
- Protocols & Systems
- Experience with communication protocols: IEC 101/104, DNP3, Modbus, ICCP
- Familiarity with Linux & Windows environments; network security, redundancy, and failover mechanisms
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage technical discussions and client interactions
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities
- Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
