A reputable institutional long-only equity investment firm is seeking high-potential individuals to join its Public Equities Investment Analyst Traineeship Program. The firm is open to early- to mid-career professionals (below 5 years of experience), including those looking to transition into investment research or trading from related fields, and who are motivated to grow into a fully-fledged equity analyst within a disciplined, institutional investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior investment professionals in fundamental equity research, including company analysis, financial modeling, and valuation work
- Conduct industry and macro research to support investment theses
- Assist in the monitoring of portfolio holdings and generation of new investment ideas
- Prepare investment notes, models, and presentations for internal discussions
- Develop a strong understanding of long-only investment strategies, risk management, and institutional portfolio construction
- Participate actively in the firm's structured training and mentorship program
Requirements
- Below 5 years of relevant working experience
- CFA qualification is mandatory (CFA Level I completed at minimum; higher levels strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated interest in public equities, investment research, or capital markets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with financial statements and data
- Candidates currently in adjacent roles (e.g. finance, corporate, consulting, accounting, trading support, or related analytical functions) who are seeking to switch into investment research or trading are welcome to apply
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Can‑do attitude, intellectual curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to learn in a demanding, high-performance environment
