The Role & Landscape:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Python-based data engineering solutions.
- Build comprehensive data ingestion, wrangling, cleansing, and transformation processes from scratch.
- Utilize modern cloud services (GCP, BigQuery) to support overarching data platform requirements.
- Explore and analyze source data to identify integration needs, data quality issues, and core business value.
- Design and maintain scalable data models tailored for analytics, regulatory reporting, and downstream use cases.
- Develop backend services, APIs, or microservices as required to support the data infrastructure.
What We Are Looking For:
- 3 to 8 years of professional experience in data engineering or a highly related software engineering discipline.
- Exceptional, production-grade Python development skills tailored for data engineering use cases.
- Excellent SQL scripting capabilities and database knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Fluency in both Cantonese and English is strictly required.
- A background in the banking/financial services industry or top-tier consulting firms is highly advantageous.
