We are looking for a Python-focused Software Engineer with strong manufacturing or production test experience to help build and scale automated test systems for advanced sensing hardware used in robotics, autonomy, and industrial applications.

Must Have

  • 5+ years of professional Python development experience (automation, tooling, or systems software)
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing, production test, or hardware validation environment
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals (debugging, SDLC, version control, code quality)
  • Experience building automation that interacts with hardware or test equipment

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain Python-based manufacturing test and automation systems
  • Support production test infrastructure in lab, pilot, and scaling environments
  • Debug production issues and drive root cause analysis (yield, quality, test failures)
  • Improve test efficiency, reliability, and cycle time
  • Integrate and automate test equipment and measurement systems
  • Build tools for data collection, analysis, and manufacturing insights
  • Support deployment of software across Windows and Linux environments
  • Document test systems and support operator training during production ramp

Nice to Have

  • Experience with LiDAR, robotics, optical, or electromechanical systems
  • Familiarity with SQL, JMP, Tableau, or similar data tools
  • Experience with industrial robotics or machine vision (e.g., Cognex, OpenCV)
  • Exposure to high-volume manufacturing or production scaling
