Role: QA Automation Engineer (Playwright)
Location: 100% Remote

About the Role
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in Playwright to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for modern web applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality, automation-first testing, and working closely with development and DevOps teams in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain UI automation test scripts using Playwright
- Build and enhance test automation frameworks for web applications
- Automate functional, regression, and smoke test suites
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and manual QA teams to define test strategies
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with teams to resolve issues
- Ensure test coverage across browsers and devices
- Maintain test data, test reports, and automation documentation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in QA Automation for web applications
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript / TypeScript)
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with UI test automation frameworks
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC
- Experience with Git and version control systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Knowledge of cross-browser testing
- Ability to debug test failures and analyze logs
Nice to Have
- Experience with API automation (REST, Postman, Playwright API testing)
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
- Experience with Docker or cloud-based test execution
- Familiarity with performance or accessibility testing
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments
