We are looking for a Junior Quality Engineer with Mainframe experience to join a technology team in Toronto. You will support software quality across the delivery lifecycle through test planning, execution, and defect management.
What You'll Do
- Review requirements and design documents to identify test scenarios
- Create and execute manual and automated test cases
- Identify, document, and track defects using approved tools
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing
- Support test automation development and maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
What You Bring
- Hands-on experience with Mainframe systems
- Understanding of software testing principles and the development lifecycle
- Experience with manual and automated test case creation and execution
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Nice to have
- Experience with test automation frameworks
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
- Exposure to banking or financial services environments
Work setup
- 12 month contract based in Toronto, ON
- Hybrid with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week
