Quality Engineer – API & Automation Testing

Are you a quality-obsessed engineer who loves breaking things before they reach production? We're looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join a dynamic media & entertainment engineering team in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

This isn't a checkbox QA role. You'll own end-to-end quality for complex API-driven systems, build and maintain automation frameworks, drive performance testing, and be a true partner to product and engineering — not an afterthought.

What You'll Do

You'll lead test planning, build and maintain API/functional/integration/performance automation scripts, analyze logs to find root causes, and publish quality KPIs that actually mean something. You'll also mentor junior QEs and contribute to a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in software QE testing
• 3+ years testing API/GraphQL and data flows between APIs and front-end applications
• 3+ years in QE automation
• Proficient in Java and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Hands-on with Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or Playwright
• Experience with performance testing tools (server & client-side metrics)
• Comfortable with GIT, Jenkins, Maven, JIRA, TestRail, New Relic, Charles/Fiddler
• Security testing experience is a plus
• QE/Automation/Performance certifications are a bonus
