Quality Engineer

About Client: Coop Far East Ltd.

Coop Far East Limited is a leading Italian retailer Sourcing Office in Hong Kong, with main business activities in sourcing Hardgoods, Electronics, Homeware, Softline and Quality assurance (QE Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Social Compliance) in numerous Far East markets.

Responsibilities

· Provide quality support to assigned category to ensure the integrity of products

· Responsible for the overall quality satisfaction of customers

· Responsible to maintain, update and/or establish supplier quality management and standardized quality processes

· Develop and update valid quality requirement for each category of products

· Do the risk assessment during the development stage, to avoid failure in mass production

· Control testing status, check samples, check inspection report and responsible for the shipment release after final inspection

· Ensure that all documents are filed and uploaded in the system

· Manage claim from customers

· Work closely with other departments to ensure product delivery following to the standards

Requirements

· Experience in these products, such as PPE, SDA, Lighting, Optics, Christmas & Ornaments or Household are welcome

· Engineering background

· 3-5 years related working experience

· Lab or factory experience is a must, European buying office is a plus

· Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills

· Able to build strong relationship with the team and different departments across the company to achieve the best results for customers

· Well organized individual, able to manage multiple tasks, strong problem-solving skills and able to meet deadlines

· Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Mandarin

· Travel to China is required

Competencies

· Good understanding of products and production process, especially for electrical related items, home appliances, power tools

· Well known the EU standards for CE regulation and performance test

· Familiar with quality system ISO 9000 and experience with factory audit
