You will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag, our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects – 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.

We are currently looking for a Quality Engineer who will:

As the Quality Engineer, you will:

  • Provide support and holiday cover to the Quality Manager
  • Be proactive in preventing substandard Works being produced by coaching and providing training
  • Ensure that quality management is given the highest priority in delivery in the delivery of their works to achieve right first time
  • Communicate with delivery team and sub-contractors to ensure full understanding of quality assurance requirements
  • Check the works during progress and on completion to ensure that it has been constructed in line with the Work Information and the supporting documentation is produced
  • Manage and communicate to the Quality Managers any non-conformances
  • Carry out formal surveillances to ensure that inspection and tests are carried out in line with the inspection and test plans, Safe System of Work for the controlling the works and that all necessary documentation is produced in a timely manner
  • Ensure the delivery team notifies HS2 and or the Supervisor of any intervention points

We are looking for:

  • Managed Quality on a relevant project
  • Experience within quality related role on a major infrastructure project
  • Experience of working on Civil engineering projects
  • Computer competence (MS Word, Excel)
  • Relevant CSCS Card
  • On-site training in Quality
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems
