Quality Engineer - Mainframe + API

Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer - Mainframe + API to join their team. As a Quality Engineer - Mainframe + API, you will be part of the Software Quality Assurance department supporting cross-functional teams involved in software development and testing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Engineer - Mainframe + API

Location: Toronto, ONTARIO - 2x week onsite

What's the Job?

• Review requirements and design documents to identify test scenarios

• Create and execute manual and automated test cases for software applications

• Identify, document, and track defects using approved tools

• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure quality standards

• Support test automation development and maintenance to improve testing efficiency

What's Needed?

• 3-6 years of experience with Mainframe testing and API testing

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

• Proficiency in Mainframe + API testing tools and methodologies

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across teams
