Position Overview

Our client, a premier manufacturing organization specializing in engineered industrial solutions, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to spearhead supplier quality, process development, and customer-centric quality initiatives. This high-visibility, direct-hire role offers the opportunity to influence and scale quality standards across a stable, growth-oriented environment characterized by operational rigor and continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities

  • Customer Advocacy: Serve as a technical lead for warranty resolutions and customer-facing quality concerns.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure organizational alignment.
  • Performance Metrics: Drive measurable improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs), including First Pass Yield (FPY), scrap reduction, and the overall cost of quality.

Professional Qualifications

  • Experience: 7–10+ years of progressive experience within a manufacturing quality environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven background in supplier quality, process development, and formal root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Industry Knowledge: Hands-on experience in metals, fabrication, or related industrial environments; foundry experience is highly desirable.
  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to interface directly with customers and suppliers regarding warranty and quality issues with professional urgency.
  • Mobility: Flexibility to travel up to 50% to various supplier locations.

Expectations for "Greatness"

We Are Seeking An Individual Who Transcends Standard Maintenance To Become a True Owner Of Quality. While a "good" Candidate Resolves Issues As They Arise, a "great" Candidate

  • Develops scalable, proactive processes that mitigate risks before they manifest.
  • Elevates supplier performance through strategic partnerships and rigorous accountability.
  • Identifies systemic gaps and addresses foundational root causes rather than isolated symptoms.
  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy, bringing immediate structure to complex quality scenarios.

Benefits & Impact

  • Strategic Influence: Opportunity to build and refine quality frameworks rather than simply maintaining them.
  • Leadership Exposure: Significant role impact with direct visibility to executive leadership.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Competitive base salary and a robust benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), and Paid Time Off (PTO).
