Your Mission

As a Principal Quantitative Developer, you will be the primary architect of our on-chain options engine. You won't just be maintaining a platform; you will be solving the "Holy Grail" of DeFi: building high-fidelity, low-latency options pricing and risk infrastructure that functions within the constraints of a decentralized environment. You will bridge the gap between complex financial engineering and high-performance blockchain execution.

What You’ll Do

• Pricing Engine Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of on-chain pricing models (e.g., Black-Scholes, Binomial, or bespoke AMM-based models) optimized for computational efficiency and gas consumption.
• Risk & Clearing Infrastructure: Build robust, decentralized liquidation and margining engines capable of handling non-linear risk profiles and volatile market conditions.
• Volatility Modeling: Develop and integrate on-chain volatility oracles or automated volatility surface adjustment mechanisms.
• Smart Contract Engineering: Implement core financial logic in Solidity/Rust/C++, ensuring mathematical precision and security against MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) or oracle manipulation.
• System Optimization: Conduct rigorous backtesting and stress-testing of pricing algorithms against historical DeFi market data to ensure protocol solvency.

What You Bring

• Quant Expertise: Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field (Math, Physics, FinE). You should be deeply comfortable with Stochastic Calculus, PDEs, and Greeks management.
• Web3 Proficiency: 2+ years of experience writing production-grade smart contracts (Solidity or Rust). You understand the nuances of fixed-point arithmetic and gas-efficient math libraries.
• Advanced Programming: Mastery of Python (for modeling/research) and C++, Rust, or Go (for high-performance execution).
• Options Lifecycle Knowledge: A deep understanding of exotic and vanilla options, including collateralization requirements, automated liquidations, and delta-hedging strategies.
• Principal Mindset: Experience taking a complex financial product from a LaTeX research paper to a mainnet deployment.
