Quantitative Analyst & Junior Portfolio Manager

As part of the CIO Office Team and reporting to the Head of Asset Management, the role entails using specialized knowledge and skills to assist in analyzing portfolio analytics, asset allocation and investment holdings to make appropriate recommendations. Supports asset management team by preparing industry and company research by collecting and organizing data, writing investment-related research reports, and creating/ maintaining quantitative models. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/MAIN FUNCTIONS Use analytical tools, software and methodologies to research investment products, asset allocation and comparative analysis of portfolios. Assist in development of quantitative models. Assist with research and analytics used in Research & Strategy team. Assist with preparation of presentations, portfolio/equity analyses, and proposals for High Net Worth, Ultra-high Net Worth, and institutional clients and prospects. Assist with developing individualized client investment strategies for Financial Advisors of the firm. Respond to inquiries from Financial Advisors to research and resolve issues. Assist with preparation of scheduled and ad hoc performance reports. Maintain checklists for tracking periodic investment managers’ reviews as part of the ongoing due diligence process to assess assets in the managed portfolios. Generate periodic reports on investment analyses and peer group comparisons with relevant investment benchmarks. Interface effectively with all levels of staff in managing portfolios. Complete ad hoc projects and reports as assigned. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND CAPABILITIES) Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or related field. Minimum of 3 years in financial services, with a focus on market research and analysis. Additional licenses or professional designations may be required. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI. Fluent coding ability in Python and SQL. Familiarity with Morningstar Direct and Bloomberg Terminal. Solid understanding of machine learning principles and generative AI applications. Experience designing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines. Able to develop creative tools and applications that enhance efficiency. Strong grasp of financial markets, trends, and instruments. Experienced in investment research; portfolio management knowledge is a plus. Skilled at gathering, compiling, and presenting complex information. Proven ability to streamline business processes and improve data workflows. Effective communicator in both English and Spanish. Capable of managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities under tight deadlines. Collaborative across departments while maintaining independence and accountability. Demonstrates high standards of service and maintains strong working relationships at all levels. Active in professional networks and stays updated on industry services, tools, and innovations.
