The Scope
- You will own performance end to end across complex real-time systems. That means working from high-level algorithm design down to instruction pipelines, cache behaviour, memory hierarchies, and parallel execution on both CPU and GPU. You will collaborate directly with quantitative researchers to translate mathematical models into production systems, and you will profile, measure, and reason rigorously about system behaviour under extreme constraints.
- This is not infrastructure support. You will build things, ship them, and see their impact immediately.
What you bring
- Expert-level C++ with a genuine history of high-performance, low-latency code in production.
- Deep understanding of modern processor architectures.
- Experience with real-time systems and low-latency networking.
- Strong mathematical foundations. The ability to move fluidly across abstraction layers from algorithm design to hardware-level optimisation.
- GPU or heterogeneous computing experience is a strong plus.
- Domain background is less important than engineering depth.
Location
Miami with some potential for NY for expectional candidates.
