About the Firm
Our client is a leading, multi-billion dollar quantitative hedge fund with a powerhouse reputation in the quantitative space. Known for their high-performance culture and academic-style research environment, they manage over US$5 billion in assets. As they continue their global expansion, they are seeking a technically-minded Quantitative Execution Trader to spearhead their coverage of global markets from their Hong Kong hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Systematic Execution: Oversee and execute high-volume, program-driven trading instructions for international funds, ensuring rigorous monitoring of internal systems and managing any execution anomalies.
- Automated Clearing & Ops: Facilitate the end-to-end automation of clearing workflows, including daily P&L reconciliation and performance attribution for offshore funds.
- Technical Integration: Act as the bridge between the trading desk and internal technical resources; you will design, refine, and implement automated clearing and trading deployment projects.
- Counterparty Management: Design and implement landing schemes for new trading requirements, coordinating with international brokers and venues to optimize the global trading flow.
- Analysis & Attribution: Lead data-driven projects, including trade data analysis, new market research, and detailed P&L attribution to drive strategy optimization.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Approximately 2–5 years of execution experience, ideally with a focus on overseas equity trading and interaction with international brokers.
- Market Expertise: Strong familiarity with Stock Borrowing and Lending (SBL) and the optimization of offshore equity financing/shorting workflows is a major plus.
- Technical Stack: * Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with C++ or C# is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of trading technology products (OMS, Market Data Systems, Trading Algorithms, and Clearing Systems).
- Communication: Exceptional command of English and Mandarin to facilitate seamless coordination between the localized technical teams and international counterparties.
- Education: A degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (Math, CS, Engineering) from a top-tier institution.
