Working Environment

Successful candidates will join our growing R&D team, responsible for the hardware lifecycle of our proprietary data center products—from concept and PCB design to prototyping and production support.

You will work closely with our Software Engineers to integrate sensors and communication modules into our products. Additionally, you will collaborate occasionally with our Project and Maintenance engineers to gather feedback on physical hardware performance in the field.

We are looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys seeing their physical creations go to market. Since forming the team 5 years ago, we have sold to multiple regions in Asia, and we are looking for someone passionate about building tangible, high-quality tech products.

Key Responsibilities

  • PCB Design & Development: Design schematic diagrams and PCB layouts using EasyEDA (strongly preferred). Manage BOMs and coordinate with PCB manufacturers. Candidates with vast experience on another platform that can convert existing projects on EasyEDA is fully acceptable as well.
  • Prototyping & Assembly: Assemble prototype boards, solder components, and perform initial functional testing.
  • IoT & Sensor Integration: Select and integrate sensors (temperature, humidity, power monitoring) and communication modules (ESP32, Wi-Fi, Ethernet) into our iDCmini solutions.
  • Firmware Prototyping: Collaborate with Software Engineers to write basic firmware drivers or test scripts (leveraging AI tools for rapid prototyping) to verify hardware functionality before full software integration.
  • Technical Support: Assist Project/Maintenance teams by troubleshooting hardware-related issues and providing technical insights based on field feedback.
  • Vendor Management: Source electronic components and manage relationships with suppliers.
  • Documentation: Create technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and test reports.

Requirements

  • Degree/Higher Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in hardware design, electronics repair, or embedded systems. *Note: Candidates with strong portfolios/projects but less formal experience are welcome to apply.
  • Strong proficiency in EasyEDA is strongly preferred. Experience with KiCad or Altium is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with ESP32, ESP-IDF, Arduino, or STM32 ecosystems. Understanding of peripherals (I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO) is essential.
  • Ability to debug hardware within a Linux environment. Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, VLANs, Switching) is valuable for troubleshooting IoT devices.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to assist in writing firmware code, debugging circuits, or generating documentation.
  • Candidates with a basic understanding of Power or Uninterruptible Power Supplies, or computer room (server room) setup will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in using multimeters, soldering stations, and oscilloscopes.
  • Candidates who have worked with MQTT or other IoT technologies will be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work with a team and hit deadlines.
  • Mechanical Awareness (Bonus): Basic understanding of mechanical constraints or experience with 3D modeling/printing for enclosures is a plus, but not required.
  • With good communication skills in both Chinese and English to liaise with vendors and international teams.
