Job Responsibilities
- Perform 4G–5G RAN deployment and RAN performance optimization for trials and commercial rollout.
- Utilize Nokia background and hands-on experience in remote configuration, including CIQ-to-SCF workflows.
- Conduct RF network performance optimization using field data, KPI tuning, and parameter adjustments.
- Engage daily with customers on planning and execution of PoC, trials, and deployments.
- Collaborate with customer RAN RF, transport, IP, security, and cloud teams to gather planning inputs and prepare gNB/eNB configuration files.
- Analyze customer network deployment requirements and provide feedback to engineering teams for solution validation.
- Troubleshoot RF, software, and hardware issues affecting performance.
- Work toward KPI acceptance for trial sites and markets.
- Generate KPI reports from EMS/OSS and perform detailed analysis.
- Analyze UE and gNB/eNB logs; coordinate with engineering and Level 3 support for resolution and RCA.
- Build test plans and execution strategies for new product and feature qualification.
- Implement and test new products and features in lab and field environments.
- Finalize golden configurations for various deployment scenarios.
- Work closely with Tier 1/2/3 teams on performance-related issues.
- Coordinate and guide field drive-test teams during trial and deployment phases.
- Perform regular parameter audits.
- Evaluate testing tools and service vendors.
- Develop guidelines, processes, and MOP documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all job-related processes, tools, and methods.
- Support competence building within the team and organization.
- Provide technical support to customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Demonstrate flexibility, independence, and initiative.
- Collaborate with company teams to achieve organizational goals.
Required Experience & Skillset
- 8+ years of experience in RAN engineering, optimization, and performance management for 4G/5G networks.
- Strong understanding of 4G–5G RAN technologies and deployment models.
- Knowledge of NR, LTE, LTE-A, and mMIMO.
- Familiarity with 3GPP standards, procedures, call flows, KPIs, and statistics.
- Experience with mobility management, power control, schedulers, VoNR/VoLTE, and carrier aggregation.
- Proficiency with RF and quality test tools such as XCAL/XCAP, QXDM, TEMS, NEMO, ACTIX, JDSU, PCTEL, Anritsu, R&S, and others.
- Strong customer management skills and ability to drive customer satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and coordinate resources.
- Comfortable working in a start-up environment; values innovation, teamwork, quality, and productivity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to support after-hours and weekend activities when needed.
- Self-starter with strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Excel macros, scripting, or automation tools for KPI/log analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of Linux scripting and configuration.
