Job Description for Relationship Portfolio Manager:

The Portfolio Manager plays a crucial role in appraising risk and managing the Bank's loan portfolio by offering analytical insights and credit supervision, overseeing duties such as annual appraisals, renewals, ensuring compliance with loan covenants, and managing financial collections for allocated loan portfolios. Engages with Relationship Managers to cultivate and advance a superior and financially beneficial loan portfolio.

Responsibilities for Relationship Portfolio Manager:

  • Examine pertinent data to calculate the risk assessment and to assess whether a prospect or existing credit presents an acceptable risk.
  • Monitor fluctuations in credit risks among customers and in the portfolio, and communicate any alterations in risk patterns to management.
  • Support Relationship Managers in client discussions to accurately discern and cater to the specific requirements of each client.
  • Acquire the requisite financial information to conduct accurate risk assessment and thorough underwriting analysis.
  • Addressing client inquiries and validating the accuracy of all data for the loan underwriting evaluation.
  • Evaluate the monetary stream globally concerning commercial and personal clients, debtors, and individuals providing assurances.
  • Construct financial spreads, credit presentation sheets, narratives, relationship summaries, and loan pricing models in a structured format.
  • Aid in structuring and pricing plans for new loans and their renewals.
  • Streamline and organize the procedures for closing loans and making bookings.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and analyze industry-specific data to identify potential risks.
  • Stay on top of sending out renewal communications every 120 days and performing detailed checks to validate adherence to loan agreements and annual appraisals.
  • Fulfill all essential regulatory requirements and complete mandatory training components.
  • Carry out any other tasks as specified.

Qualifications for Relationship Portfolio Manager:

  • Mandatory bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or relevant work history.
  • Applicants should have at least two years of experience, with a preference for those with two to four years of experience.
  • Demonstrates excellence in credit underwriting through analytical prowess.
  • Committed to objectives and proficient in overcoming challenges.
  • Proficient in interpersonal interactions and relationship development.
  • Showing mastery in grammar, typing, and spelling competence.
  • Displays mastery in organizing tasks and allocating time wisely.
  • Capable of effectively using Microsoft Office software like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
