Remote | Biologist (PhD) — $105/hour

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for PhD-level biology professionals with strong scientific judgment, deep subject matter expertise, and the ability to evaluate complex biological concepts with precision.

This role supports an exciting collaboration with leading AI companies focused on improving advanced AI systems through high-quality biological expertise, research evaluation, and scientifically grounded analysis across specialised technical workflows.

Selected professionals will apply advanced biological knowledge to assess scientific feasibility, interpret relevant biological concepts, evaluate laboratory-related content at a high level, and help improve overall model quality. This opportunity is especially well-suited to highly analytical scientists who are comfortable working independently and applying deep expertise across research-oriented evaluation tasks.

Strong candidates may have:

A PhD in biology, microbiology, virology, immunology, or a closely related field

Strong analytical thinking and written communication skills

Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as cloning, PCR, and cell culture

Publication record in relevant subdomains

Experience Interpreting Primary Research Literature In Biosecurity-adjacent Areas

Independent contractor role

Fully remote with flexible scheduling

Hourly compensation of $105 per hour

PhD in biology, microbiology, virology, immunology, or a closely related field required

U.S. person currently located in a Five Eyes country required

Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project needs and performance

Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
