Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Remote Industrial Automation Engineer to join their globally distributed engineering team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems for a variety of industrial clients. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing efficiency, productivity, and safety across manufacturing and production processes. The role involves working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other industrial control technologies. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of automation projects, from initial concept development and system design to programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing support. A deep understanding of industrial networking, cybersecurity for industrial systems, and best practices in automation is essential. We are looking for an engineer who is a self-starter, highly organized, and possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of diagnosing and resolving complex automation issues remotely. Effective communication and collaboration skills are paramount, as you will be working closely with clients and internal teams through virtual channels. Experience with various PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric) and SCADA software platforms is highly desirable. Familiarity with robotics, motion control, and artificial intelligence in industrial settings is a plus. Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement PLC/SCADA control systems for industrial applications. Configure and program HMIs for intuitive operator interaction. Develop and maintain system documentation, including design specifications, logic diagrams, and P&IDs. Perform remote troubleshooting and diagnostics of automation hardware and software issues. Collaborate with clients to understand their automation requirements and provide technical solutions. Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in industrial automation. Ensure systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations. Optimize existing automation systems for improved performance and efficiency. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience in industrial automation engineering. Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., ladder logic, structured text) and HMI development. Experience with SCADA system implementation and configuration. Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
