Job Description

Our client, a global leader in manufacturing and supply chain solutions, is seeking an experienced Remote Industrial Engineer focused on Process Optimization to join their innovative, fully remote team. This position is pivotal in enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving quality across our client's operational network. You will analyze existing processes, identify bottlenecks, and design and implement data-driven solutions to streamline workflows and maximize productivity. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and the ability to drive significant operational improvements from a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze current manufacturing and operational processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other optimization methodologies. Design and model optimized workflows, production layouts, and material handling systems. Utilize simulation software and statistical analysis to evaluate process changes and predict outcomes. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless implementation of process changes. Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials for new processes. Conduct time and motion studies to optimize labor utilization and workflow. Identify opportunities for automation and technology integration within operational processes. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings, recommendations, and project status for management. Facilitate and lead Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all process designs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or operations management. Proven experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus). Proficiency in process mapping, simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic), and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent data interpretation and visualization abilities. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting. Experience with CAD software and ERP systems is beneficial. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to global operational excellence from your home office. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving efficiency and innovation across our client's diverse manufacturing and operational landscape.
