Job Description

Our client is looking for a highly analytical and results-oriented Remote Industrial Engineer to join their innovative team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US. As a Process Optimization Specialist, you will be instrumental in identifying inefficiencies, streamlining workflows, and implementing sustainable improvements across various operational functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in industrial engineering principles, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC). You will conduct in-depth analysis of existing processes, utilizing data to identify bottlenecks, waste, and areas for enhancement. Responsibilities will include developing and implementing process improvement initiatives, designing efficient layouts and workflows, and optimizing resource allocation. You will create detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials to ensure consistent implementation of best practices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality assurance, and IT, will be crucial to ensure successful project outcomes. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented changes and drive continuous improvement. Experience with simulation software and data modeling tools is highly desirable. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to diverse audiences. Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field. 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on process improvement and optimization. Proven experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights. Proficiency with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio), statistical software (e.g., Minitab), and ERP systems. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment. Experience in optimizing manufacturing, supply chain, or service operations. Knowledge of simulation and modeling software is a plus. Familiarity with quality management systems.
