Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Remote Industrial Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes and improve operational efficiency. This fully remote role involves analyzing existing industrial processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity, quality, and safety. You will leverage your expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, process simulation, and automation to drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles, and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with cross-functional teams virtually. This is an opportunity to impact operations across multiple facilities without the need for relocation.
Responsibilities: Analyze existing industrial processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and areas for improvement. Design, develop, and implement new processes and systems to optimize production output, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Utilize lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements. Develop process simulation models to test and validate proposed changes before implementation. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and automation solutions. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed process changes. Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality assurance, and R&D teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of process improvements. Train and mentor operational staff on new processes and best practices. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process efficiency and output. Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations and environmental standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field. Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial process engineering, manufacturing, or operations improvement. Strong understanding and practical application of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic). Experience with CAD software for process layout design. Knowledge of automation and control systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong data analysis and statistical skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. Project management experience is beneficial. Professional Engineer (PE) or relevant certifications (e.g., CMfgT, CSSBB) are a plus. This fully remote position offers a competitive salary and benefits, allowing you to contribute your expertise from your chosen location.
