Job Description

Our client is a global leader in advanced manufacturing and is seeking a dedicated Remote Manufacturing Process Optimization Engineer. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to drive improvements in manufacturing efficiency and quality from a remote work setup. You will analyze existing production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven strategies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower operational costs. This role requires a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process simulation tools. You will collaborate closely with on-site production teams, engineering departments, and quality assurance to implement and validate changes.

Key responsibilities include:

Analyzing manufacturing workflows to identify inefficiencies, areas for improvement, and potential cost savings. Developing and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize production processes, cycle times, and resource utilization. Applying lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve quality. Utilizing process simulation software to model and test potential process improvements before implementation. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality control, to implement and sustain process changes. Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor process performance and track improvements. Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for optimized processes. Facilitating remote training sessions for on-site personnel on new processes and best practices. Analyzing production data to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions. Researching and recommending new technologies or methodologies to enhance manufacturing operations.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing process improvement, with a strong understanding of lean principles and Six Sigma is required. Proven experience in analyzing complex production data and implementing data-driven solutions is essential. Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and statistical analysis tools is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are necessary. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical for effective remote collaboration with on-site teams. Experience with automation and Industry 4.0 concepts is a plus.
