Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Principal Industrial Engineer to join their fully remote team. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. The Principal Industrial Engineer will be instrumental in optimizing complex industrial processes, improving efficiency, and driving significant cost savings across the organization. You will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of advanced manufacturing and operational systems. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, expertise in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and simulation modeling. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and IT, to identify opportunities for improvement and develop data-driven solutions. The Principal Industrial Engineer will also mentor junior engineers, lead process improvement projects, and stay at the forefront of industrial engineering advancements. This position demands excellent communication and collaboration skills, as you will be working with distributed teams and stakeholders. You will leverage cutting-edge technology and analytical tools to solve challenging problems and contribute to the continuous improvement of our client's global operations. Your insights and leadership will directly impact productivity, quality, and overall business performance, all managed through a robust remote work infrastructure.

Responsibilities: Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex industrial engineering projects to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. Apply lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools to optimize operations. Develop and utilize process simulation models to evaluate system performance and identify bottlenecks. Collaborate with operations, supply chain, quality, and IT teams to define project requirements and implement solutions. Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, root causes of problems, and opportunities for improvement. Develop business cases and ROI analyses for proposed engineering projects. Mentor and guide junior industrial engineers and technical staff. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in industrial engineering. Effectively communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to all levels of management. Ensure all engineered solutions comply with safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications: Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field. PhD preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on process optimization and system design. Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Six Sigma Black Belt is highly desirable. Extensive experience with simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab). Proven expertise in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects. Proficiency in project management methodologies. Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
