Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and innovative Principal Industrial Engineer to lead process optimization initiatives for their global operations. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to drive significant improvements without the constraints of a traditional office environment. You will be responsible for analyzing complex manufacturing and operational processes, identifying bottlenecks, and designing and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, simulation modeling, and statistical analysis. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and deploying data-driven strategies that optimize workflows, supply chains, and resource allocation across multiple facilities. Key responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, conducting time and motion studies, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and implementing advanced manufacturing technologies. You will also be involved in capacity planning, layout design, and cost reduction programs. We are looking for a visionary leader with exceptional analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. The ability to mentor junior engineers, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and stay at the forefront of industrial engineering best practices is essential. This role requires strong project management skills and the capability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously from conception to completion. If you are a passionate industrial engineer with a track record of delivering measurable results and a desire to shape the future of industrial operations from a remote setting, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and execute process improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization. Design, develop, and implement optimized manufacturing processes and workflows. Conduct feasibility studies and simulations for new processes or equipment. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence. Mentor and guide junior industrial engineers. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on process optimization. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required. Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab). Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and supply chain management. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead teams. Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies is a plus.
