Our client, a globally recognized leader in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking an exceptional Senior Data Scientist to join their innovative and fully remote analytics team. This role is critical in harnessing the power of data to drive strategic decisions across marketing, product development, supply chain, and sales. You will be responsible for developing advanced analytical models, extracting actionable insights from complex datasets, and communicating findings to stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate possesses a strong quantitative background, expertise in statistical modeling and machine learning, and a passion for uncovering patterns in consumer behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and supply chain, to translate business needs into analytical projects. Evaluate the performance of deployed models and iterate on them to ensure ongoing accuracy and relevance. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, and identify opportunities to apply new techniques. Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's overall knowledge base and best practices. Ensure data integrity and quality throughout the analytical process. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, influencing strategic decision-making. Explore and recommend new data sources and analytical approaches to enhance business intelligence.

Qualifications:

Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on consumer goods or related industries. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas, NumPy). Strong experience with SQL and working with large relational databases. Demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis, etc.), and experimental design. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a business audience. Experience working in a remote, collaborative environment is essential. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark) is a plus.

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your data science expertise in a leading FMCG company, driving significant business impact from a remote location. Our client offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and a culture that values innovation and data-driven insights.
