Our client, a globally recognized leader in innovative technology solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Senior Electrical Power Systems Engineer. This position is fully remote, enabling you to contribute to cutting-edge projects from any location within the US. You will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and implementation of advanced electrical power systems for a wide range of applications, including renewable energy, electric vehicles, and high-performance computing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, with specialized expertise in power electronics, grid integration, and energy storage technologies. You will be responsible for developing system architectures, performing detailed simulations, and ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of power systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment. You will lead design efforts, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical strategy and roadmap development. A passion for sustainable energy solutions and a commitment to technological advancement are essential. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of energy systems and work on challenging, impactful projects.

Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical power system architectures, including power generation, distribution, and control systems. Perform detailed electrical simulations and analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PSPICE, ETAP). Specify and select power electronic components, batteries, and other energy storage technologies. Ensure the reliability, efficiency, safety, and compliance of power systems with relevant standards and regulations. Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to integrate power systems into broader product designs. Develop test plans and procedures for power systems, and oversee testing and validation activities. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in power systems. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior electrical engineers. Contribute to the development of technical specifications, documentation, and project reports. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in electrical power systems and renewable energy. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, with a specialization in Power Systems. Minimum of 8 years of experience in the design and analysis of electrical power systems. In-depth knowledge of power electronics, AC/DC converters, inverters, and energy storage systems. Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, or similar. Experience with grid-tied and off-grid power systems, and renewable energy integration. Strong understanding of electrical system protection, grounding, and safety principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineers. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for a remote work environment. Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC) is a plus.
